WHAT THE PROGRAM PROVIDES

1. A SUPPORTIVE LIVING ENVIRONMENT

2. ROOM AND BOARD

Tour Resident's Bedroom

3. A 30-90 DAY CURRICULUM CONSISTING OF:
      a.  Substance abuse and/or
            mental health counseling as
            directed by parole;
       b.   A drug and alcohol free
             environment

Qualifications for Residency:
1. Parole supervision required
2. WNY residency prior to incarceration
3. Agreement to abide by all rules of the Bissonette House.
4. Recommended by:
    · A facility religious leader
    · Institutional parole officer
    · Buffalo division of parole
5. Participation in programs while incarcerated.
6. Crimes that prevent residency:
    · Rape and sex offenses
    · Arson convictions
    · 1st  degree murder
 
 
 

Resident Responsibilities:

The “ten commandments” of residents:
1. Abide by the rules of parole
2. Full participation in the activities of the house
3. Mandatory attendance at all daily and weekly meetings
4. Attendance at open AA meetings held at the house
5. Presence at scheduled dinner meals
6. Cleaning and maintaining the house
7. Assist in meal preparation
8. Attendance at a church of choice on weekends is highly encouraged
9. Remain drug and alcohol free
10.  Submit to random drug testing
